    Description

Gorgeous, monumental acid-etched and enameled Daum Nancy cameo glass vase, circa 1910, with a triangular cross-section that transitions seamlessly to its
    hollow
circular base. The cased top layer of light green glass over a mottled yellow-to-dark brown ground is acid etched back.  The resulting raised relief surface is exquisitely painted with translucent pink Columbine flowers, green stems and leaves.  Signed "Daum Nancy France" with the cross of Lorraine in
    acid etched relief in
the light green outer layer of the cased glass. The acid etching of stems and leaves continues down to the rim of the base.  This is a single piece of cased, hand-blown glass; it stands 15 1/4" tall on a 5 1/4" diameter base and weighs 4 2/3 pounds. The triangular body is 3 1/2" on a side at its widest, with an internal throat that narrows to 2" on a side.
This vase is clean and appears to be in near-mint condition with some scratches and rub marks on the bottom from normal wear.  Felt pads have been applied to the base to reduce the chance or further wear.  There are no cracks, chips or repairs to the glass or no chips or scratches to any of the enamel.  Please see all photos for more information about the condition of this amazing art nouveau vase.
