Adding Pond Dye to your Pond will block out UV Rays , and limit algae growth.
Pond Dye also helps to protect your fish from predators outside of your pond.
You can put the dye all in one spot in your pond, or you can put it in several spots to get a more quick and equal color.
We recommend adding half of what the bottle says at first, then add more to achieve desired color.
Black pond dye is meant to mimic the natural color you would see of a pond that is surrounded by trees. The black gives off a beautiful reflection

Adding pond dye, as well as bacteria is your best chance to limit the algae in your pond. Bacteria should be added to your pond on a yearly basis.  It will break down the nutrients that Algae needs to grow, and also helps break down leaves and muck in your pond.
